Here’s a horror story that unfortunately is real. A Mississippi grandmother has been arrested in the brutal murder of her granddaughter Royalty. Investigators are saying that the baby was stabbed and then placed in the oven to bake by the grandparent who is suppose to cherish, love, and protect her as long as she’s here on Earth.
48 year old Carolyn Jones was charged and booked for killing 20 month old Royalty Marie Floyd.
No one seems to understand what lead to the tragedy.
Apparently Royalty lived with her grandmother, and not her Mom Veronica Jones. The murderous grandma’s brother is the one who actually found the child in the oven and promptly called the police. His sister had even thrown the child’s toys to the side of the road.
Authorities won’t know if the child was deceased or not before being placed in the oven with stab wounds.
Jones made her first appearance a day after the killing before a judge, who set bail at $500,000. According to family members, this is where she will stay. It’s still not clear whether or not she suffered from years of mental illness. If this is the case, there is no way lil Royalty should have been staying with this woman.
Sheriff Williams, one of the officers working the case, claims this was the worst crime scene he’s ever witnessed.
‘I’ve been doing law enforcement for 25 or 26 years now, this is one of the most horrible things I’ve seen in doing law enforcement. The hardest part … is to see a child victim.’
The baby’s Mom, Veronica Jones, have set up a gofundme page for burial expenses. She released this simple statement about her child’s demise the day she was found.
‘My daughter was stabbed and baked in the oven by her grandmother.’
She later posted this message on social media.
“Royalty Marie Floyd was the best thing that ever happened to me. She’s my one and only daughter. My first love. The hardest thing that I ever had to go through in my life. My heart has been ripped from my chest. I’m being told that my mother stabbed my daughter and baked her in the oven but my mother loved my daughter. She always treated Royalty like Royalty and everybody that knows us know that. To my daughter Royalty ”Mommy will always love you and you will live in all our hearts forever.”
We are sending our condolences to all of Royalty’s loved ones. We just pray that this baby didn’t suffer during this heinous murder.

It seems like everyone lately is using Mental Illness as an exscape goat. If this is true, I pray she’ll get the help she needs along with her punishment. Also, I’m praying that the baby died from the stabbing. I can’t even imagine being baked in an oven. My God Help Me Please!!🙏🏾
