Miguel A. Núñez Jr. Reveals That A ”Juwanna Mann’ Sequel Is In The Works

The star of Juwanna Mann, Miguel A. Núñez Jr., reveals that a sequel is, in fact, being made saying, “It will be coming.” 

In the interview, Nunez said he was not allowed to give out plot details yet. Additionally, he said he wasn’t sure who all would be in the new feature … but he did report to TMZ that Draymond Green is interested in joining the upcoming film. It wouldn’t be his first appearance in a film, however. Green appeared in Space Jam: A New Legacy a few years back as well.

According to BET, Nunez was also confident that members of the LGBTQ community and WNBA players would embrace the upcoming project. “They did the first one; they will definitely do [it] with this one,” he added.

The 2002 ​​romantic comedy-drama was released on June 21, 2002, and was directed by Jesse Vaughan. The film followed Jamal Jeffries (Núñez), a basketball star who becomes a female impersonator and begins playing women’s basketball upon being suspended from men’s basketball.

The film also starred Vivica A. Fox, Kevin Pollak, Tommy Davidson, Kim Wayans, Ginuwine, and Kimberly “Lil Kim” Jones.
