Michael Jackson’s Nephew Jaafar Jackson To Play King of Pop In Biopic

The upcoming Michael Jackson biopic is becoming more interesting with every detail. According to Deadline, the actor who will be portraying the King of Pop will be the late icon’s 26-year old nephew Jaafar Jackson.

The singer and songwriter is the son of Jermaine Jackson, who is the brother of Michael and member of The Jackson 5. Jaafar has been singing and dancing since the age of 12 and released his single “Got Me Singing” about 3 years ago.

As reported last week, MJ’s biopic will be directed by Antione Fuqua (Training Day), scripted by John Logan (Bohemian Rhapsody), and distributed by Lionsgate.

According to the media outlet, the film will not shy away from the controversies of Michael’s life, including the pedophile accusations. The good, the bad, the ugly–the film will iron out every detail of his life all the way up to his death in 2009. The legendary artist died from cardiac arrest caused by a cocktail of sedatives at the age of 50.

So what do y’all think? Will Jaafar be able to pull it off? We shall see.
