Actor Michael Beach is stepping back into the spotlight with a major new role, joining Fox’s upcoming drama The Interrogator as a series regular.
The 12-episode project, already granted a straight-to-series order by Fox Entertainment, signals strong confidence in the show. Produced in collaboration with Lionsgate Television, the series is slated for the 2026–27 season.
At the center of the story is Stephen Fry’s character, Conrad Henry—a former MI6 agent known for extracting the truth from the world’s most dangerous criminals using intellect over intimidation. When standard interrogation tactics fall short, Henry relies on psychological precision, unconventional strategies, and a razor-sharp mind.
Michael Beach will portray Louis, a crucial member of Henry’s elite team. More than just a tech expert, Louis is the backbone of the operation—handling AV, IT, and real-time intelligence while also serving as a skilled handyman with expertise ranging from electronics to explosives. Beyond his technical abilities, Louis is Henry’s closest ally: a best friend, confidant, and moral compass shaped by a shared past in which they once saved each other’s lives.
Behind the scenes, Fry co-wrote the pilot, with revisions by Matt Pyken and William Harper. The series will be led by showrunners Dan Dworkin and Jay Beattie, with Paul McGuigan directing. Executive producers include Anthony Bregman, Miriam Mintz, Neil Burger, and Anonymous Content.
Beach continues to build on a career defined by commanding and emotionally grounded performances. He most recently appeared in The Perfect Couple, Tulsa King, and Mayor of Kingstown, further cementing his reputation as a go-to actor for complex, authoritative roles.
Fans will also recognize Beach from standout TV roles in Third Watch and ER, along with film appearances in Waiting to Exhale (1995), Soul Food (1997), Lean on Me, and Aquaman (2018).
With a strong cast, experienced creative team, and a compelling premise, The Interrogator is shaping up to be one of Fox’s most anticipated dramas of the upcoming season.
