Michael B. Jordan Reportedly Returning As Killmonger In “Black Panther” Sequel

It looks like actor Michael B. Jordan may be reprising his role as Black Panther villain Killmonger in its upcoming sequel.

After the sudden passing of star Chadwick Boseman (T’Challa), writers have been scrambling to find a storyline for the sequel that will live up to the original film. Now the writers may have something up their sleeves.

According to Giant Freakin Robot‘s sources, Jordan will be added to the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever cast.

Those who’ve seen the first Marvel movie may remember that the villain dies at the end of the first film. This wouldn’t be the first time a Marvel character has come back to life, so it’s not a stretch.

Although Jordan will allegedly be returning, it hasn’t been confirmed that he will be resurrected. It’s possible that he will appear in flashback scenes.

When Killmonger died, it felt like T’Challa was sad about it, and audiences felt that, too. Maybe Killmonger will return with a changed heart and no longer be a villain. Anything is possible.

Jordan hasn’t made any announcement of his return yet.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is set to release July 8, 2022.
