It’s that time of year again for everyone to get into the Christmas spirit.

Legendary gospel artist Kirk Franklin has teamed up with Lifetime Movie Network for a special film entitled Kirk Franklin’s A Gospel Christmas.

The cast includes: A House Divided actress Demetria McKinney, The Temptations movie star Chez Lamar Shepherd, R&B soulful singer Regina Belle, The Clark Sister: First Ladies Of Gospel actress Angela Birchett, and Love Thy Neighbor star Kendra C. Johnson.

Here’s what the film is about.

When Olivia (Demetria McKinney), a young assistant pastor, gets assigned to be a lead pastor at a new church a month before Christmas, she’s fearful she can’t manage the transition, including getting the choir ready to open the town’s annual Winter Jamboree. Banding together with her new congregation, Olivia discovers a new home for herself, and even finds a little Christmas romance along the way! 

Last but not least, we are proud to say that Erica Sutherlin, making her debut as a director.

The film also includes an appearance by Kirk Franklin, who produced and arranged the music for the movie.
