The wonderful guitarist star, Eddie Van Halen, has died at the age of 65.

He has been battling with lung cancer for a little over a decade.

According to TMZ, Eddie died at St John’s Hospital in Santa Monica on Tuesday.

His wife,  Janie Van Halen, was by his side, along with his son, Wolfgang Van Halen, his ex-wife Valerie Bertinelli, and Alex Van Halen, Eddie’s brother and drummer.

Eddie is known for popular songs like Panama, Hot For Teacher, Right Now, and the classic hits, Jump.

Eddie’s son, Wolfgang Van Halen mourned the loss of his death.

Ex-wife Valerie also left a heartfelt letter.
