Lecrae Partners With Love Beyond Walls To Provide Atlanta Homeless With Handwashing Stations

Grammy Award-winning rapper, Lecrae, has partnered with long-time friend Terence Lester, CEO of nonprofit Love Beyond Walls to provide Atlanta homeless around Hurt Park with hand washing stations.

After the Coronavirus outbreak the duo connected over the phone to discuss how they could give back during these difficult times. Together they decided to help the homeless to “restore dignity to homeless and poor by providing a voice, visibility, shelter, community, and grooming and support services to achieve self-sufficiency,” as mentioned in their mission statement.

For the last 15 days, we’ve transported hundreds of gallons of water all around the city to ensure people experiencing homelessness has the same opportunity to protect themselves with handwashing as everyone else. . Everyone deserves equal rights to good health. . Yet today, there are inequities in public health that are avoidable, unnecessary and unjust. . Sanitation is a human right! . #lovebeyondwalls #LoveSinksIn

The team spent time assembling the portable and refillable hand washing machines. The hand-washing station holds 5 gallons of water and has a dispenser full of soap connected to them. The group also handed out sandwiches, drinks, and cheeseburgers to the Atlanta homeless community.

Love Beyond Walls has assisted the homeless in other states and handwashing stations are available there as well.

Thank you Lecrae, Terence, and Love Beyond Walls for all you do.
