LeBron James, Arnold Schwarzenegger Among The 200,000 Residents Evacuated Due To California Fires

More than 200,000 people have been forced to flee their homes including celebrities such as NBA star Lebron James and Hollywood actor Arnold Schwarzenegger.

LeBron James took to Twitter to tell his over 40 million followers he was driving his family around L.A trying to find a place to stay.

Eventually, LeBron and his family found a place to accommodate them and he advised everyone to be safe.

Arnold Schwarzenegger also went to his Twitter page on Monday to share updates with his fans.

The Los Angeles Fire Department said in a statement: “We have an active and growing brush fire.”

“For those living in this area, you must be prepared to evacuate.”

“This is a very dynamic situation due to high winds and information is quickly developing. Stay vigilant.”

Pacific Gas & Electric Co. has notified more than 1.2 million people that they may have their electricity shut off for what could be the third time in a week.

Fire raging along the 405 Freeway, also threaten the Getty Center which houses historic pre-20th century artwork from famous artist like Rembrandt and Van Gogh.

Meanwhile, more than 2.4 million people who lost electricity over the weekend are awaiting restoration.

The Los Angeles Fire Department have now confirmed the fire was moving in a westward direction. 

However the Mandeville Canyon and Mountain Gate communities remains under a mandatory evacuation order that verges into Brentwood.

Evacuation centers are open in Westwood and Sherman Oaks.
