Jeezy and Jeannie Mai are engaged!
PEOPLE exclusively revealed that the rapper and philanthropist popped the question to The Real co-host on March 27 during a Vietnamese-inspired date night while in quarantine.
Jeezy (real name Jay Wayne Jenkins), 42, and Jeannie, 41, met on the set of her daytime show and begin secretly dating in November 2018. The couple went public when Jeannie escorted Jeezy at his gala for non-profit, Street Dreamz.
Since then, their relationship has grown overtime and they shared the special moments with the public.
The stars also spent Thanksgiving together for the first time in his hometown of Atlanta, where Jeannie mingled with Jeezy’s extended family.
Jeezy took their relationship to another level when he threw Jeannie a birthday bash with a surprise gift — Tevin Campbell singing their song, “Can We Talk.”
More recently, in celebration of Valentine’s Day, Jeannie posted a video to Instagram of herself sitting on the back of Jeezy’s bike as they took an afternoon ride together.
This will be the second marriage for Jeannie, who split from ex Freddy Harteis in 2017.
