Jay Leno was rushed to the hospital after suffering severe burns from a gasoline fire in his Burbank garage.

The comedian and former “The Tonight Show” host confirmed this news to Variety and told them in a statement that he is okay. “I got some serious burns from a gasoline fire. I am ok. Just need a week or two to get back on my feet.”

According to TMZ, Jay was in the Burbank garage where he stores his cars on Saturday when one of the cars erupted into flames without warning. Sources say the flames burned the left side of Jay’s face, but thankfully did not penetrate his eye or his ear.
