Jamie Foxx is currently recovering after suffering an undisclosed ‘Medical Complication’ on Tuesday.
The 55-Year-Old Academy Award winner’s daughter, Corinne Foxx, issued a statement via Instagram on Wednesday evening.
‘We wanted to share that my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday,” shared Corinne in a statement written on behalf of the Foxx family.
“Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery. We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers,” the statement reads. “The family asks for privacy during this time.”
It is unclear what kind of symptoms Foxx was suffering during the incident. TMZ reported that his condition was serious enough that Jamie’s family — some of whom were not in town — came to the hospital. Additionally, they reported that “He’s communicating now, and that’s good news.”
Foxx was most recently seen filming on the set of the upcoming Netflix movie, Back in Action, featuring Cameron Diaz.
There was no information immediately available on whether he had finished his duties on the film.
