Jacqueline Avant, Wife of Music Legend Clarence Avant, Fatally Shot In Home Invasion

Something has got to be done about all the robberies happening in Los Angeles. Music executive Clarence Avant‘s wife, Jacqueline Avant, was shot and killed during a home invasion.

Around 2: 30 a.m. at the Trousdale Estates, neighbors called 911 after hearing gun shots.

According to TMZ, law enforcement stated that the caller told the dispatcher someone had been shot. By the time they arrived, Jackie had already been rushed to a nearby hospital, where she was pronounced dead. A family source says the burglars broke into the house and fired shots that hit Jackie in the stomach.

Reports say Jackie was alerts and talking once paramedics arrived but unfortunately took a turn for the worse. Clarence was home at the time and was not injured during the incident.

An update revealed that there was at least one person arrested for the robbery.

A security guard, who was at the home, was also shot during the incident but did not return fire. Beverly Hills Police Chief stated in the press conference that the invasion did not seem to be a random attack.

Jacqueline was known for her philanthropic duties. She was on the board of directors for UCLA’s International Student Center, and she also acted as president of the Neighbors of Watts.

Clarence was recently inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with his loving wife of 54 years by his side.

Jacqueline is survived by her husband Clarence, and their two children –daughter Nicole Avant (who is married to Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos), and son Alexander Du Bois Avant.

Sending our condolences to the Avant family. Rest in power, Jackie.
