Authorities are still searching for a young man who may have been involved in the abandonment of a lil baby. Police say that the child was left at Wal-mart on October 8th around 11 in the morning or so.

The only leads they have right now is a young man who is caught on video around the time of the incident. Investigators aren’t saying why they are interested in this person, or why he may be involved in this.

“LOS ANGELES (CNS) – Authorities today were seeking public help to find a person of interest in their investigation into the abandonment of a baby in a men’s restroom at a Walmart in Lakewood.

The baby boy was found by a customer about 11:45 a.m. Oct. 8 at the business in the 2700 block of East Carson Street, the sheriff’s department reported. The boy was described as black, between 12-15 months old, weighing 20 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

“The child’s parents and/or guardians have yet to be identified and nobody has reported the child missing,” a sheriff’s statement said. “Walmart video footage was reviewed, (but) detectives from Special Victims Bureau were unable to identify any possible suspects. However, a person of interest was captured on video who detectives would like to speak with.”

Detectives circulated a photo of that person, described only as a male, and said he was seen driving away in a beige or gold-colored 2000-2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo.
