Georgia Mom Suspects Son’s Passing Is Linked To Dominican Republic Deaths

A Georgia mom is raising questions after her son mysteriously died in the Dominican Republic earlier this year — and she believes there’s a connection to the recent spate of US tourist fatalities in the Caribbean nation, according to a new report.

New York Post reports:

Tracy Jester Jr., 31, of Henry County, flew to the country with his sister for a weekend getaway, his mother, Melody Moore, told WSB-TV 2.

“They had a good day,” Moore told the station. “Saturday, they went out, they explored. They said they had a good day.”

She talked to her son and he seemed fine, she recalled.  But he did say he drank a soda that didn’t taste right, she continued. It wasn’t immediately clear where he stayed during his jaunt.

Early the next day, Jester Jr.’s sister frantically called Moore to say that her brother was struggling to breathe.

“She called me about 3:30 in the morning and she told me he was calling her saying he couldn’t breathe, just saying, ‘Mama I can’t breathe, I can’t breathe,’” Moore told the outlet.

His distraught sister quickly dialed 911, but to no avail. He died on March 17, according to an online obituary for him.

Jester Jr.’s death certificate says he died of a respiratory problem, but his mother is skeptical, she told the station. Her son did not suffer from any health issues, she said.

She called the FBI, and an investigator placed her son’s name on the growing list of American visitors who have died there in recent months…

“Being a mom, I want to go to where he was, where he died at last,” she said. “Something is wrong, my son is gone. Something is really wrong.”

“As a mother, you’re not there when your son takes his last breath,” the grieving mom added. “That hurts and I mean, you’ve got so many questions.”

The case of the Dominican Republic deaths is becoming more strange by the minute. Hopefully, Ms. Moore will find the answers she deserves and gets justice for her son. Rest in peace, Tracy.
