Gayle King Receives Backlash, And Blames CBS For Clip Of Her Discussing Kobe Bryant’s Dismissed Case In Interview With Lisa Leslie

Gayle King is out here getting dragged on social media for bringing up NBA star Kobe Bryant‘s past — involving a rape allegation that was dismissed in court — only a week after he lost his life in a tragic helicopter crash, along with his 13-year old daughter Gianna and 7 others.

Gayle-and-Lisa

The CBS reporter interviewed WNBA legend Lisa Leslie and they discussed the legacy of Lisa’s good friend Kobe but according to a clip put out by CBS that has been circulating around the internet, Gayle was seemingly on a mission to tarnish Kobe’s name.

Gayle immediately started getting a lot of heat for her line of questioning. Kobe hasn’t even been laid to rest yet and this just didn’t sit well with folks, especially the black community — including rappers Boosie and 50 Cent.

Rapper Snoop Dogg also had a few choice words to say.

Gayle soon took notice to all of the angry fans, and decided to respond on Instagram Live — something she has never done and it seems that she’s pointing the finger at CBS editing.

So what do y’all think? Is Gayle still to blame for even asking these questions during the interview, or do you believe her when she says CBS is really the one to blame.

Like everyone, Kobe has had a hiccup in his life but this was such an inappropriate time to bring it up.

Kobe was a NBA legend, a father, a husband, a son, a brother, and a positive force in the world — especially in L.A. He will always be remembered by his fans for that and he leaves a great legacy that many only dream of doing.

We will honor him for those things.
