Karen Derrico, known to viewers from the TLC reality series Doubling Down with the Derricos, has been arrested in Las Vegas and is facing multiple criminal charges stemming from allegations that she threatened her ex-husband, Deon Derrico, and some of their children.
According to court documents obtained by TMZ, prosecutors allege that Derrico sent a series of emails to Deon Derrico containing threats of violence. Authorities claim the messages included threats against her ex-husband and warnings that she would harm any of their children who sided with him during their ongoing family dispute. Prosecutors also allege she threatened Deon ahead of a court hearing related to a restraining order he had previously obtained.
Derrico has been charged with harassment, violating a restraining order, aggravated stalking, and preventing a witness from testifying through threats of violence, according to legal filings. Authorities say the alleged threats left Deon fearing for his safety and prompted him to seek legal protection and file a police report.
The allegations come nearly two years after Karen and Deon finalized their divorce in June 2024. The former couple, who share 14 children, agreed to split legal and physical custody following the end of their marriage.
Derrico’s attorney, Jess Marchese, has strongly denied the accusations. According to her legal team, the threatening emails were allegedly fabricated by Deon and sent to himself in an effort to frame Karen. Marchese says they are working with technology experts to challenge the evidence and prove her innocence.
Karen Derrico has pleaded not guilty to the charges and maintains that she would never threaten or harm her children. She was released on a $2,000 bond and is reportedly being monitored with an ankle bracelet while the case proceeds through the court system.
The case remains ongoing, and no findings of guilt have been made by the court.
