Cress Williams And Shian Tomlinson Join NBC Drama Pilot ‘Unbroken’

Actor Cress Williams has played a number of roles, including the superhero Black Lightning but now Williams has been cast in the NBC drama pilot Unbroken, according to Deadline.

Williams’ has been featured in other series such as Prison Break, Close To Home, Hart Of Dixie, and of course the 90’s sitcom Living Single where he played the character Scooter.

He will be joined by newcomer Shian Tomlinson, who acted in productions such as the series New Amsterdam and the short-film Bittersweet.

The new drama pilot Unbroken is following “three dynastic ranch families on the central coast of California as they make love and war in a passionate struggle to survive, ultimately setting the stage for a group of fiercely determined young women to win big for all at the National Championship of Rodeo.”

Deadline reports:

“Williams will play Will Stanton, a retired bull-riding champion and manager of the Holleren ranch. A warm and unflappable man, Will is Cole’s (Delon de Metz) best friend and uncle to his two adult children.

Tomlinson plays Will’s daughter, Ngozi “Gozi” Stanton, a fiercely competitive girl with a dazzling smile who’s determined to become a rodeo champion like her father. The cast also includes previously announced Amanda Payton.”

NCIS New Orleans and Quantum Leap star Scott Bakula will be returning to the show. Other cast members are Anna Wood (Reckless), Amanda Payton (Code 404), Delon de Metz (The Bold And The Beautiful), and Olunike Adeliyi (Revenge Delivered).

Williams’ characters have banned from different portrayal like ‘Prison Break’, ‘Close To Home’, ‘Hart Of Dixie’, and of course the 90’s sitcom “Living Single” played by Terrence “Scooter”.

A premiere date hasn’t been announced yet but we’ll keep y’all updated.
