Ahmaud Arbery’s Killers Sentenced To Life In Prison

Three white men who were found guilty of murdering Ahmaud Arbery have been sentenced to life in prison.

The judge also denied any chance of parole for the father-son duo, Travis and Gregory McMichael, who armed themselves and pursued an unarmed 25-year old Black man back in February 2020.

Their neighbor William “Roddie” Bryan, who participated in the ambush, will be eligible for parole after he’s served 30 years in prison.

According to reports, Arbery went on a jog back in February. The McMichaels armed themselves and pursued Arbery in a pickup truck after seeing him running in their neighborhood. Bryan joined the pursuit and recorded the fatal encounter with his cell phone.

Prosecutor’s said Arbery ran from the men for 5 minutes. He was then trapped between the two trucks and eventually shot by Travis McMichael three times at close range.

They weren’t arrested until after the video surfaced.

All three men were found guilty of murdering Arbery in November and now will be spending life in prison.
