Throughout the day, Michael has been sharing his experience with his followers. Earlier, he posted a video with a caption saying: “Do ya think I’ll pass this U.S.A Citizenship test today?”

He then shared that he was turning in his green card for his citizenship.

In the caption he says, “I’m showing ya this because I have to turn this in back to the U.S immigration today at 10 in Los Angeles .

Michael added, “I’ve made a living making fun of America and Americans but all jokes aside America is by far the greatest country in the world and that’s why everyone comes here for an opportunity.”

The comedian said he’s not going into details of why it took him over 30 years to become a citizen but he will say that he loved being an African and he wanted to stay authentic.

“This Country has been nothing but a blessing,” Michael said. “…this is the best country in the world. Can’t wait to swear in so I can apply for welfare.”

Congratulations, Michael!
