Chrissy Teigen Commits To Donating $200K In Bail Money After Trump’s “MAGA Night” Tweet

After President Donald Trump declared Saturday “MAGA Night.” Chrissy
Teigen mocked him by promising $200,000 to bail out demonstrators who
were protesting George Floyd‘s death.
In a May 2020 Twitter post Trump wrote, “The professionally managed
so-called ‘protesters’ at the White House had little to do with the
memory of George Floyd,” He added, “They were just there to cause
trouble. The @SecretService handled them easily. Tonight, I understand,
is MAGA NIGHT AT THE WHITE HOUSE???”

When model and cookbook author, Chrissy Teigen, got wind of this she
tweeted “In celebration of whatever the f–k maga night is, I am
committed to donating $100,000 to the bailouts of protests across the
country.”

Minutes later Twitter users began calling the protesters “rioters and
criminals,’ so the model pledged an additional 100,000 for protesters.
“Ooo they might need more money then. Make it $200,000,” in an
additional twitter post.
She, like many Americans, is tired of the system that unjustly kills
unarmed black people. Thus, she is doing what she can as an influencer
and ranking among the highest paid models to help the situation across
the nation.
Many celebrities have recognized their power and responsibility to this movement. They either have or plan to donate bail for protesters in and around Minnesota. Seth RogenSteve CarrellDon Cheadle, Abbi Jacobson and Janelle Monáe are some who say that they donated to the cause.
