Cardi B and Offset Welcome Their Baby Boy

It’s a boy! Rapper Cardi B and her husband, Migos rapper Offset welcomed their second child together into the world.

Cardi gave birth to her son Saturday (Sept. 4) and announced the happy news on Instagram Monday.

The “I Like It” rapper captioned the sweet family photo: “9/4/21🦕💙🧸.” 

Offset also shared the news with a photo of him holding his baby boy and a caption saying: “Chapter 5.”

“We are so overjoyed to finally meet our son,” the couple said in a statement shared with PEOPLE. “He is already loved so much by family and friends and we can’t wait to introduce him to his other siblings.”

Cardi and Offset are already parents to 3-year-old daughter Kulture. Offset is also dad to daughter Kalea, 6, and sons Kody, 6, and Jordan, 11, from previous relationships.

Cardi revealed her second pregnancy in June during a performance with the Migos at the BET Awards.

The “Up” artist then confirmed the news with a maternity photo.

During a July appearance on the live radio app Stationhead, Cardi shared how she told her husband about her second pregnancy.

Cardi aid she started to show pregnancy symptoms two weeks before the Grammys during rehearsals for her performance with Megan Thee Stallion. Cardi said she noticed her “mouth started to get watery” and she was experiencing headaches and carsickness.

“I think I’m pregnant, bro!” she told Offset shortly thereafter.

After confirming baby No. 2 with a pregnancy test, Cardi said she and her husband started to laugh.

“We just started laughing like, ‘Lord, we have so much to do,’ ” she recalled.

The star also expressed her excitement for her baby on the way, saying, “There is something so dear about this pregnancy and I feel like I’m starting a new chapter, and I’m happy about that.”
