Brandy Norwood was reportedly hospitalized in Los Angeles due to a possible seizure; however, she shared an update on her Instagram Story that her medical incident was related to “dehydration and low amounts of nutrition.”

“To my beloved fam, friends, and starz thank you for sending love and light my way. I am following doctors’ orders and getting the rest I need due to dehydration and low amounts of nutrition. Thank you for your prayers and support. Grateful for you all, see you soon,” Norwood said in a statement on social media.

According to TMZ law enforcement sources, paramedics were called to the Grammy award-winning singer and actress’ home on Tuesday. The source also stated that Brandy suffered a seizure and was taken to a local hospital.

Brandy has been receiving an abundance of love and support, including from her parents who have been by her side. 

The Norwood family has had some unpleasant excitement this past week. On Friday, singer and entrepreneur Ray J Norwood shared a video showing a view of a bridge with a cryptic message stating:“If it wasn’t for my kids I would jump off and die tonight.”

Another clip finds Ray J dangling his feet from the same ledge. “SHOULD I JUST JUMP off and end it rit. Now!!! ????” he wrote in the since-deleted post.

Brandy immediately responded with an Instagram message: Need you bro @rayj 🙏🏽
