The cause of death hasn’t been revealed, but just last week, fellow singing legend Chaka Khan asked her fans to pray for the star.

Other hits included “Let Me Be Your Lovermaker,” “Shoorah Shoorah,” “Tonight is the Night,” “Where is the Love,” and No Pain (No Gain).

She is survived by her four children Aisha, Patrice, Chaka and Asher.
