Arby’s Manager Found Dead Inside The Restaraunt’s Freezer, Police Say
An Arby’s employee has been found dead inside the restaurant’s freezer in New Iberia, Louisiana.
KTLA 5 reports that police arrived at the restaurant and found a woman dead at the scene on Thursday around 6:20PM. The woman was later identified as the manager at the Arby’s. The name of the manager has not been released.
The New Iberia Police Department told KLFY that the death remained under investigation Friday.
Police said they do not believe the woman’s death was the result of foul play.
In a statement released by WADN-TV, Capt. Leland Laseter stated, “This does not seem like a homicide, it seems like an accident,”. He added that the investigation was in its early stages and “nothing is set in stone yet.”
Arby’s released a statement and said they were aware of the incident.
“The franchisee is cooperating fully with local authorities as they conduct their investigation,” Laurel Sprague, brand reputation manager for Inspire Brands, said in the statement. “Due to this being an active instigation, we defer any further comment to the police department.”
On Friday, the restaurant was closed for the day.
