Actor Roger E. Mosley Dies At 83 After Car Crash

Actor Roger E. Mosley, best known for his role as helicopter pilot Theodore “T.C.” Calvin in hit show Magnum P.I., has died at the age of 83. 

According to his family, Mr. Mo (as we call him) passed away at Cedars Sinai Hospital in L.A. a week after he was involved in a Lynwood car crash that left him paralyzed from the shoulders down.

His daughter Ch-a Mosley, stated, “He was surrounded by family as he transcended peacefully. 

Mosley grew up in Watts and continued to reside in the Los Angeles area. Members of our Y’all Know What team grew fond of Mr. Mo while working out regularly together at 24 Hour Fitness gym in Monrovia.

YKW correspondent Sherlandra Revis, who is also an upcoming film director, said that she had great conversations with Mr. Mo while they walked on the treadmill next to one another.

“He LOVED to talk, and he gave great advice about the film industry.”

She also added, “He also said he wanted to be in our next film.”

Mosely has been a trailblazing actor since 1980. Over his long career, he appeared in multiple films like It’s A Thin Line Between Love and HateThe Players Club, and Roots.

He also starred in TV series such as Night CourtKung FuSanford and Son, and Hanging With Mr. Cooper.

His daughter says he still receives fan mail and requests for autographs from his role as T.C.
