Actor Michael K. Williams Found Dead In NYC Apartment
Actor Michael K. Williams, best known for his role on the hit show The Wire, has passed away.
According to police, Williams was found deceased around 2 p.m in his Brooklyn apartment by a family member.
Drug paraphernalia was found around him and authorities say it appears he overdosed. The city medical examiner’s office will determine his cause of death.
Confirming his death to the Hollywood Reporter, Williams’s representative said that it was “with deep sorrow that the family announces the passing of Emmy nominated actor Michael Kenneth Williams. They ask for your privacy while grieving this unsurmountable loss”.
The 5-time Emmy nominated actor played Omar Little in the HBO hit for 6 years.’
He also starred in many other TV Shows and Box Office hits such as: Boardwalk Empire, Brooklyn’s Finest, and The Purge: Anarchy.
Williams was also set to star in the upcoming George Foreman film, taking on the role as the heavyweight champion’s trainer and mentor.
