Tami Roman Returns for ‘Double Double Trouble 2’ Alongside Roger Cross in Lifetime Psychological Thriller

Lifetime is bringing back the twists, deception and family drama with a sequel to its hit psychological thriller Double Double Trouble. Tami Roman is set to reprise her roles as identical twin sisters Drea and Ali in Double Double Trouble 2, with actor Roger Cross joining the cast in a new role. The highly anticipated sequel is expected to premiere in 2027.

Roman will not only return as the film’s leading star but will also serve as an executive producer. In the sequel, she once again takes on the challenge of portraying both sisters as their complicated relationship takes another disturbing turn.

Picking up where the original movie left off, Double Double Trouble 2 finds Drea having fully assumed her twin sister Ali’s identity, including her cooking show and relationship with fiancé Ryan. However, her carefully constructed deception begins to unravel when a call from the hospital reveals that the real Ali is still alive.

As Drea struggles to maintain her new identity, their suspicious aunt begins questioning her behavior. Ryan also starts noticing that the woman he believes is his bride cannot remember important details about her own life.

Adding another unexpected twist, Roger Cross joins the story as Randy, a long-lost twin brother who takes on Ryan’s identity. As secrets begin to surface and Ali’s memory returns, the sisters find themselves facing each other once again in a dangerous confrontation fueled by years of resentment.

The original Double Double Trouble premiered on Lifetime on February 21, 2026, and became the network’s highest-rated original movie of the year. The film attracted approximately 625,000 viewers ages 25 and older in Live+Same Day viewing, outperforming Lifetime’s original movie premiere average by 54%. Among women ages 25–64, the movie exceeded the network’s average by 90%.

Screenwriter Sa’Rah L. Jones returns for the sequel, while James Bamford takes over directing duties. The film is produced by Navid Soofi for Novus Pictures in association with Studio TF1 America.

With Tami Roman returning to her double role and Roger Cross bringing another mysterious character into the story, viewers can expect another suspense-filled chapter packed with shocking revelations and psychological twists.

Double Double Trouble 2 is scheduled to premiere on Lifetime in 2027. An official premiere date has not yet been announced.
