An intruder messed with the wrong one!

Willie Murphy, an 82-year old award-winning powerlifter used her strength to stop a man who broke into her home Thursday night.

The Rochester, New York resident told local station WHAM-TV that the intruder pretended to be sick, asking for someone to call an ambulance as she was getting ready for bed. She called the police, but would not let the man in… and things got more intense.

The man busted through the door, but did not make it very far before Murphy began to fight back.

Murphy has previously earned first place awards in her division at the World Natural Powerlifting Federation’s championships and was named the 2014 Lifter of the Year after winning gold medals in the deadlift, power curl and bench press.

No wonder she was able to defend her home. Way to go, Ms. Murphy!

She does not plan on pressing charges, WHAM-TV reported.
