50 Cent Gets The Green Light For “Black Mafia Family” Crime Series On Starz

Starz has announced that they will be partnering with director Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson on a true based crime drama series called “Black Mafia Family.”

“This is a project Curtis has always been incredibly passionate about and we are excited to have him as our partner in bringing it to life,” Starz president and CEO Jeffrey Hirsch said in a statement.

Jackson has been announcing this potential project since the finale of his series power. And it has finally been approved. “I told you ‘Black Mafia Family’ was coming, and it’s going to be the biggest show on television,” Jackson said in a statement.

“Black Mafia Family” will add to Jackson, who was one of the co-creators of Power, extensive director’s resume. Jackson will be exclusively directing this true story with Randy Huggins.

“Black Mafia Family” is inspired by two brothers from southwest Detroit during the 1980’s who operate one of the most notable drug trade, remained loyal to their family, and entered the hip-hop industry where they gained worldwide recognition.

There is no set day or previews for “Black Mafia Family,” but viewers can be sure to hear updates from Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson via his social media platforms.
