Torrence, CA –Two men were found dead at Torrance Beach early Friday, according to county officials.

Los Angeles County lifeguards received a call shortly after 7 a.m. reporting that two bodies had been discovered on the sand in the 300 block of Paseo De La Playa, fire officials said.

The identities of the victims were not known, police said, and there was no word on a possible cause of death.

Police later called the case an isolated incident and said there is no threat to the community.

The beach area around where the bodies were found was shut down for several hours, but was fully reopened at around 1:30 p.m.
