Kristoff’s Life and Career

St. John portrayed Neil Winters from 1991 until his untimely passing in 2019, earning two Daytime Emmy Awards from eleven nominations and ten NAACP Image Awards for his groundbreaking performance. He was also recognized for roles such as Adam Marshall on NBC’s Generations, for which he received two additional Daytime Emmy nominations, and as the young Alex Haley in ABC’s Roots: The Next Generations.

On February 3, 2019, the daytime community was shaken by the news of St. John’s death at the age of 52. Upcoming Project

Now, St. John’s story will be told in a powerful documentary. According to Deadline, Fallen Giant Films, the production company founded by Randy J. Goodwin, is producing the upcoming documentary “Kristoff,” which Bobby Razak will direct. The film will explore St. John’s career, his battles, and the enduring impact of his family’s fight for mental health awareness.

Joining the project is St. John’s ex-wife, five-time boxing champion Mia St. John, who has continued to advocate for mental health following their son Julian’s passing. Together with Goodwin, Mia St. John is ensuring that the documentary authentically reflects both the public and private sides of Kristoff’s life.

The documentary Kristoff is expected to premiere in 2025, with more information about the scripted biopic currently in development to be announced soon.
