You Got That?! Veteran Soap Actor Eric Braeden Has A Few Choice Words For The Y&R Writers.

Y&R has been in the news quite a bit for their treatment of longtime loyal actors. The situation that has everybody talking though is actor Doug Davidson’s exit. You see, Davidson, who’s played Detective Paul Williams for 40 years, was dropped from his contract. And actor Christian LaBlanc, aka Michael Baldwin, has been given the boot too, along with Greg Rikaart who was Kevin on the Emmy-winning drama.

Many soap stars have been speaking out about these axed actors….saying that it was unfair the way they have been treated. However, we started paying attention when the “normally not too outspoken” Eric Braeden (Victor Newman) gave his opinion via tweet. Check out what Mr. Braeden posted.

“I normally don’t express my opinions reg the casting on Y&R! That’s the privilege of those who produce the show! However, this is a time when I have to make an exception! I’m still on vacation, hence my comment comes a little late: to let DOUGIE DAVIDSON GO is an egregiousmistaje

My plea to management: we have lost some all time fan favorites! D DAVIDSON has been with the show for, i think, 39 years, and people have loved him! Same for CHRISTIAN Le BLANC, GREG RIKART, Eileen DAVIDSON ( who left on her own volition)!

First of all, how many of y’all read those tweets in Victor Newman’s voice?

Secondly…..what do you guys think? Will the writers and producers over at Y&R listen to Eric’s plea? We’ll let you guys know if anything changes.
