Vanessa Bell Calloway And Kym Whitley Recognized In LA For Their Work In The Entertainment Industry
Actress Vanessa Bell Calloway and Comedian Kym Whitney received a special award last night and was honored by the city of Los Angeles for the work they have put into the entertainment industry.
Vanessa shared some of the moments on Instagram.
Calloway has been acting since 1985. She’s appeared in TV shows and films such as: All My Children, What’s Love Got To Do With It, and Harriet — but her most memorable role is playing Imani Izzi, the princess in Coming to America that was suppose to marry Hakeem (Eddie Murphy). Calloway is also credited as a director and producer.

Whitley begin her career as a comedian but entered into the acting world soon after and eventually dipped into reality TV as well. She landed roles on The Parkers, Next Friday, The Boondocks, and many others. She even had a reality show — entitled Raising Whitley — that centered around her life as a single mother raising her adopted son.
