Are We On Board For This? TVOne Is In The Process Of Making A Bobbi Kristina Biopic.
Well well well. The success of BET’s New Edition biopic has gotten every tv station scurrying around trying to make it’s own production for ratings gold. TVOne has announced that it is in the process of making a Bobbi Kristina documentary which will feature Bobbi Kris’ famous Mom and her Aunt Pat Houston.
We aren’t sure why TVOne chose to feature Bobbi Kristina’s life since she really wasn’t in the entertainment field. However, her parents are musical royalty and being their offspring came with a great deal of pressure in her short life.
No details on who will be portraying Bobbi, but the network has confirmed that two well-known actresses will be playing the part of Whitney Houston and Whitney’s sister-in-law Pat.
“According to new reports, the next star to receive the biopic treatment is the late Whitney Houston‘s daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown.
theJasmineBRAND.com revealed that TV One will be bringing the young scion’s journey to TV screens after buying the rights to tell her story.
“TV One feels like they can tell her story in a way that will resonate with fans,” a source said. “There’s so much about her life that some people didn’t know about — outside of the headlines. They think they can pull it off.”
Casting for the film has already begun, with the role of her famous mother being filled byThe Quad actress Demetria McKinney.
Vivica A. Fox has also joined the project, playing Bobbi Kristina’s aunt, Pat Houston, who worked closely with Whitney prior to her death.
Bobbi Kristina Brown died on July 26, 2015, after being found unresponsive in a bathtub at her Georgia residence.
Production for the biopic reportedly begins later this month.”
