Sheinelle Jones, co-host of NBC’s “Today” show, is grieving the loss of her husband, Uche Ojeh, who passed away at the age of 45 after a courageous battle with glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer.
The couple met as students at Northwestern University and married in 2007. They share three children: 15-year-old Kayin and 12-year-old twins Clara and Uche. Ojeh was a managing partner at UAO Consulting and was known for his deep commitment to family and community.
Jones had been on leave from the “Today” show since mid-December, citing a family health matter. On Friday, her co-hosts, including Savannah Guthrie, Craig Melvin, Al Roker, Carson Daly, Dylan Dreyer, and Jenna Bush Hager, paid tribute to Ojeh during the broadcast, highlighting his joyful spirit and the strength Jones displayed throughout his illness.
In a brief social media message, Jones expressed gratitude for the outpouring of love and support, sharing a video of the tribute segment with the caption, “Thank you, for all of your love and support. ❤️”
Ojeh’s legacy as a devoted husband, father, and community member continues to inspire those who knew him. The “Today” show family and viewers alike mourn his passing and extend their heartfelt condolences to Jones and her children during this difficult time.
