Tiger Woods Hospitalized After Serious Car Crash
Tiger Woods, real name Eldrick Woods, was involved in a single-car accident in Los Angeles Tuesday morning. According to officials, his vehicle rolled over several times. He was the only occupant in the car.
Tiger was removed from the car by first responders and immediately transported to the hospital.
Mark Steinberg, Tiger’s agent, says he sustained multiple leg injuries and is currently in surgery.
Tiger was wearing a seatbelt during the crash — and officials believe it might have saved his life.
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ Tiger was alert enough at the scene of the accident to ask first responders to have his manager pick up his stuff.
The cause of the accident hasn’t been revealed yet, but witnesses said that he was speeding.
Golf Digest says Tiger was scheduled to arrive at Riviera Gold Course at 7:30 AM PT for a shoot. He was also reportedly going to give football star Drew Brees lessons.
The Riviera is at least an hour drive from the resort Tiger was staying, so he may have been running a little late.
Just this week, Tiger announced his recent back surgery could keep him out of the upcoming Masters tournament in Augusta, Georgia.
Wishing a speedy recovery for Tiger.
