They Said “I Do!”: Judge Faith Jenkins and Singer Kenny Lattimore Are Officially Married
They said “I do!” Judge Faith Jenkins tied the knot with singer Kenny Lattimore in Los Angeles on Sunday, March 8.
The judge shared the exciting news on Instagram.
According to US Weekly, DeVon Franklin officiated the ceremony at First Congregational Church in downtown L.A., which was attended by 275 guests including Stevie Wonder , MC Lyte, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Grey’s Anatomy star James Pickens Jr. and author Malcolm Gladwell. Stevie Wonder sang “You and I” as the bride walked down the aisle.
Jenkins exclusively told US Weekly that the couple first met on a blind date through Jenkins’ friend, music producer Aaron Lindsey. The judge wanted to find someone to help her record some Christmas music and Lindsey had the perfect person in mind — Lattimore. However, Jenkins admitted that sparks didn’t fly during their first encounter.
But obviously that changed, now that the two are husband and wife.
“Kenny was different from anyone I’ve ever met from the very beginning. I’ve known his music since college so I didn’t know what to expect when meeting someone who has been such an established artist for so long,” Jenkins gushed about her groom to US. “But he showed a graciousness and humility that endeared me to him right away. I see him consistently treat every person he encounters like they are VIPs in his world and exudes a kindness that makes me believe in the best in others.”
The couple announced their engagement on Instagram back in September 2019, and soon after Jenkins revealed they went through pre-marriage counseling.
The wedding was organized by wedding planner Jen So, who Jenkins said was amazing!
When asked how did she feel about the day of her nuptials, Jenkins said, “I’m more excited to be marrying someone who has exceeded my expectations from day one and who I believe will be an incredible husband.”
This will be Judge Faith Jenkins first marriage and Kenny Lattimore’s second. He was previously married to singer Chanté Moore from 2002 to 2011. The former couple are the parents of their 16-year-old son, Kenny Lattimore Jr., who was also a groomsman at the wedding.
Congratulations to the newlyweds!
I really like all the points you have made here.
