Taylor Swift’s Mom Diagnosed With Brain Tumor While Being Treated For Breast Cancer

Taylor Swift has revealed that not only is her mother being treated for breast cancer, she also has been diagnosed with a brain tumor.

Back in 2015, the 30-year old pop star shared that her mother had breast cancer — but recently, Taylor told Variety while her mom, Andrea Swift, 62, was undergoing chemotherapy treatments for breast cancer, doctors found a brain tumor.

“And the symptoms of what a person goes through when they have a brain tumor is nothing like what we’ve ever been through with her cancer before,” Swift said. “So it’s just been a really hard time for us as a family.”

Her mother’s cancer returned last year after initially being treated in 2015, Swift wrote in an essay for Elle magazine in March.

“It’s taught me that there are real problems and then there’s everything else,” she wrote. “My mom’s cancer is a real problem. I used to be so anxious about daily ups and downs. I give all of my worry, stress, and prayers to real problems now.”

She paid tribute to Andrea last year on her album “Lover” with a touching song called “Soon You’ll Get Better” in which she opened up about how her family has been dealing with her diagnosis.
