Six Year Old Accidentally Killed By A Golf Ball That Her Father Hit
A 6 year girl died on Monday after she was struck in the head by a golf ball that her father hit. The child, identified as Aria Hill, was sitting in a parked golf cart where her father made a shot and it tragically hit her in the back of her head. They were playing at Sleepy Ridge Golf Course in Orem, Utah.

Aria Hill was waiting in a golf cart about 20 yards from where her father was teeing off, when the ball veered off course and hit her in the head, Orem police told media.
Paramedics responded to the Sleepy Ridge Golf Course and took Hill to a hospital, where she later died.
“A complete, fluke accident — you couldn’t repeat it if you tried,” Hill’s uncle, David Smith said. “She just happened to be in the exact wrong place, just directly across from him, when it happened.”
Hill spoke to 2News on behalf of his entire family, who gathered at their Sandy home to support one another on the day after the girl’s death.
“You really can’t imagine what this is going to be like until it happens,” Smith said.
Smith described Hill as a vibrant and playful child. When asked what her favorite color was, he says she had a prepared statement that “purple is my favorite color.”
“She was just such a happy kid, really happy, friendly, always said hi to everyone she met,” Smith said.
This is such a horrible situation for any family to go through. The dad was just playing an innocent game of golf that ended tragically.
