Remembering Aaliyah On What Would Have Been Her 41st Birthday
It’s been almost 19 years and we’re still talking about the mark Aaliyah Haughton left in this world. The late R&B singer would have been 41 today but she tragically lost her life in a plane crash at the age of 22.
Many went to social media to honor the young star today, including close friend and fellow artist Missy Elliot.
The Grammy-winner shared a touching video on Twitter. In the clip, Aaliyah can be heard explaining the intersection between her music and movie roles.

Aaliyah was just beginning to takeoff in her career before her life was cut short but her music is still relevant this day. Happy Heavenly birthday, Aaliyah and rest in peace.
