Prayers Up: Comedian Rodney Perry Hospitalized After Testing Positive For COVID-19
Rodney Perry is now one of millions of people who have tested positive for COVID-19. The comedian revealed he had coronavirus on Instagram Live Sunday.
He is currently hospitalized in the Intensive Care Unit but seems to be in great spirits. He even gave his fans a mini-comedy special — where he joked about being moved from ICU to the regular floor the next day. Rodney said it’s great news, but he humorously said he may not receive the same level of care.
Rodney Perry is mostly known for being on BET’s late night talk show with fellow-comedian and actress Monique. Along with stand-up comedy shows, he played in film such as: Madea’s Big Happy Family, Johnson Family Vacation, and Once Upon a Time In Detroit. Rodney has writing and producing credits as well.
In 2017, Rodney opened up about having a stroke the previous year in a short documentary with the Veteran Affairs.
Rodney beat the stroke, so he can beat coronavirus as well. Sending positive vibes his way and wishing him a speedy recovery.
