Ryan plays a homeless person name Damon Richards Evangelista on the hit FX television series “Pose.”
In the TV drama, Damon is a gay teenager and aspiring classical dancer from Pennsylvania who is violently kicked out of his home when his parents learn his sexual orientation. Once he moves to New York and befriends Blanca, he soon pursues his modern dance dreams.
As for Ryan’s sister Raven, family members said she was a bright young woman who had a heart of gold.
Investigators say Raven was found unresponsive in the driver’s seat of her vehicle when South Precinct officers responded at 7:05 p.m. Tuesday to Underwood Park in the 1100 block of 26th Street South. Birmingham Sgt. Rod Mauldin said she was pronounced dead on the scene at 7:48 p.m.
Evidence in the park and parking lot indicated multiple shots had been fired, Mauldin said.
