Pastor John Gray Announces He And Relentless Church Are Moving in 2020
Pastor John Gray stood before 4,200 attendees at Relentless Church Sunday morning and announced that they will be moving to another Greenville, South Carolina location in 2020.
In an exclusive interview with The Greenville News, Gray said Relentless has chosen a location, but he didn’t yet disclose where it was or whether Relentless planned to build or lease the space.
Pastor Gray shared a video of what their future church home will look like and it seemed to be a stimulation/virtual tour of the new location.

When asked if paperwork has been signed yet, Gray said, “We are right where we need to be.”
Relentless spokesperson Holly Baird said, “When the new location is ready, we will announce an official moving date.”
Relentless Church is currently leasing the campus of the former Redemption Church off Haywood Road in Greenville, where Gray took over as pastor after former pastors Ron and Hope Carpenter left to take over a church in San Jose, California.
Reports say that Relentless church received an eviction notice from Redemption attorneys due to nonpayment of rent but Relentless quickly clarified that it was not an eviction notice but a letter of a false agreement.
The letter was sent by Redemption attorneys stated that they’re ending their lease agreement and asking the church to vacate the property by the end of the year.
If Relentless doesn’t leave the property, Redemption would begin the process of eviction, the letter said.
Redemption said that Relentless weren’t able to keep up with all payments and terms of the agreement but Pastor Gray has said Relentless is current on all of its lease payments.
According to Gray, Relentless is also beginning a satellite campus called Relentless Atlanta in the fall of 2020. Gray said details of that location are still being ironed out.
More details should be ready to announce at the church’s service on New Years Eve, Gray said.
Many wonder how is Gray able to afford two new church locations in 2020 when he’s being accused of not able to pay the one he’s currently worshipping in?
