Ready. Set. Go!
Lifetime is kicking off its Temptations franchise this Saturday, and it’ll be starting with the first installment, Desire: A Temptations Story.
What is Desire About?
Kendra, portrayed by Why Did I Get Married star Tasha Smith, is an inspirational talk show host who appears to have it all. Encouraged to take a break following the loss of a family member, Kendra sets off on a vacation meant for healing, but instead meets the man of her dreams.
She eventually gets caught up in a world romance with Malcolm, played by Bel-Air actor Adrian Holmes, and spontaneously marries him; however, once the honeymoon is over, revelations about her new husband’s past lead her down a dangerous road.
Behind the Scenes with Desire
Directed by Robert Adetuyi, Desire boasts a script penned by Kate Green and Jane Espenson. The film is produced by DNA Media Group, with executive producers Derrick Williams, Adriane Hopper Williams, Ngozi Paul, and Breanne Laplante at the helm. Notably, Tasha Smith also serves as an executive producer, adding depth to her involvement in the project.

Following Desire: A Temptations Story, the franchise continues with Fame: A Temptations Story, premiering on April 26, featuring Keri Hilson and Keshia Chanté as sisters navigating the challenges of fame and personal rivalry.
