Adam Courtney Brown

LAPD Searching for Man Accused of Stabbing His Parents in Woodland Hills

The Los Angeles Police Department has launched an active manhunt for a 32-year-old man accused of stabbing both of his parents in a violent attack in Woodland Hills.

Authorities have identified the suspect as Adam Courtney Brown. According to police, officers responded to a stabbing report around 11 a.m. on April 6 in the 20500 block of Ventura Boulevard. When they arrived, they found two victims—later identified as Brown’s parents—suffering from multiple stab wounds.

Investigators say Brown allegedly attacked both victims, causing “significant, life-threatening injuries.” The victims were rushed to a hospital and are currently reported to be in stable condition.

Police say Brown fled the scene on foot and remains at large. He is believed to use public transportation and may have connections to the Woodland Hills, Hollywood, and Palmdale areas, prompting a wider regional search.

Authorities warn that Brown should be considered armed and dangerous. Detectives are working with transit officials to review surveillance footage to track his movements across the Los Angeles area.

A motive for the attack has not yet been determined, and officials have not confirmed whether the weapon used in the assault is still in the suspect’s possession.

The Los Angeles Police Department is urging anyone who sees Brown not to approach him and to call 911 immediately. Anyone with information about his whereabouts is encouraged to contact investigators as the search continues.
