Kevin Hart is set to host the 25th annual BET Awards, marking a significant milestone for both the comedian and the network. The ceremony, celebrating a quarter-century of honoring Black excellence in music, film, sports, and culture, will be broadcast live from Los Angeles on Monday, June 9, 2025.
This event signifies Hart’s return to the BET Awards stage, having previously hosted the show in 2011. His longstanding relationship with BET includes hosting “Comic View: One Night Stand,” starring in “Real Husbands of Hollywood,” and most recently, debuting the animated series “Lil Kev” on BET+.
In a press release, Hart expressed his enthusiasm: “I love a celebration! It’s a chance to reflect, cherish, and honor life’s unforgettable moments. I’m truly honored to host the 25th BET Awards and celebrate the culture’s biggest night.” He added, “This year marks the 25th anniversary, and my partners at Hartbeat, BET, and JCE are pulling out all … .” Hart also noted that it’s a black-tie affair, inviting everyone to tune in live on June 9.
Leading up to the awards, the BET Experience (BETX) will return to Los Angeles from June 5–8, offering fans immersive activities including competitions, comedy shows, and parties.
Details on performers, presenters, and nominees will be announced closer to the event date. However, with Hart at the helm, the 25th BET Awards promises to be a memorable celebration of Black culture and entertainment.
