Judge Denies DDG’s Motion to Block Halle Bailey’s International Travel with Son

UPDATE: A Los Angeles judge denied rapper and YouTuber DDG‘s (Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr.) emergency motion to prevent his ex-partner, actress Halle Bailey, from traveling to Italy with their 17-month-old son, Halo. The court also dismissed DDG’s request for a temporary restraining order against Bailey, citing insufficient evidence of immediate risk to the child during the trip.

DDG filed the emergency motion on June 4, alleging that Bailey posed an emotional and psychological risk to Halo, referencing past incidents involving threats of self-harm and erratic behavior. He also sought sole legal and physical custody of their son.

In response, Bailey filed documents opposing DDG’s request, asserting that she needed to travel for work and that DDG and his legal team had ignored her efforts to arrange monitored visits since a temporary restraining order was issued against him on May 13, 2025.

While the court denied DDG’s request to restrict Bailey’s travel and dismissed the restraining order, it partially granted a temporary order preventing Bailey from engaging in specific behaviors, such as harassment or stalking, against DDG. The court scheduled a hearing for June 24 to address the custody and restraining order matters further.

DDG’s legal team maintains that the court granted a temporary restraining order based on the serious allegations presented, emphasizing that the matter is ongoing and will be addressed through appropriate legal channels.

Bailey and DDG began their relationship in 2022 and separated in 2024. Their son, Halo, was born in December 2023.
