Original singer of R&B group Force M.D. Jessie Lee Daniels, also known as Jessie D, has passed away, according to the group’s social media pages.
A cause of death hasn’t been revealed but Force M.D. shared their condolences to his family.
Family members also left posts about Jessie D’s passing, “My uncle Jessie Daniels was one of a kind…I’m so crushed right now.”
Zakaa Boom Saadiq, an event promoter in New York expressed his sadness.
“We’ve only just begun the yeаr, аnd we’re аlreаdy experiencing heаrtbreаk. To my mаde Jessie Dаniels аkа Jesse D of the Force MDs, I sаy rest in power,” he wrote.
Jessie D is the fourth group member who has passed away. Charles “Mercury” Nelson died in 1995 from a heart attack. Antoine “TCD” Lundy battled Lou Gehrig’s disease before his passing in 1998, and one of their DJs, DJ Dr. Rock, died in 1996 from natural causes.
Jessie D was the uncle of TCD and active group members Stevie D. Lundy and Rodney “Khalil” Lundy — who are brothers.
Force MD was originally formed in Staten Island, NY in 1981. Throughout their musical career, they put out six studio albums with hit songs, “Tender Love,” and “Love is a House.”
Their songs will forever be timeless hits and the spirit of Jessie D will live on.
Sending condolences to his family and Force M.D. Rest in peace, Jessie D.
