Jeannie Mai Reveals Some Wedding Day Details And How She’s Helping The Elderly Amid COVID-19
“The Real” co-host, Jeannie Mai, 41, became engaged to boyfriend, rapper, Jeezy, after proposing to her during a quarantine Vietnamese themed date night… and it turns out that Jeannie already knows what she wants for her wedding day.
She revealed details to Hollywood Life exclusively during an episode of their Instagram Live series TVTalk on April 30. She also called for helping hands to aid her in helping the elderly amid Coronavirus.
“The beats have to be sickening. So yes, it’s going to be a dance fest. We love R&B and of course we love jazz and hip hop. We love the 80s, too. We always said our wedding would be one fat party of love, so definitely that.”
She also confirmed one performer for their wedding-to-come. “All I know is I’m going to tell you one thing for sure that is going to happen at my wedding — Mama Mai (referring to her mother Olivia TuTram Mai) is absolutely going to perform. She is absolutely going to sing!” Jeannie added.
“I’m thrilled to have good news during this time,” Jeannie revealed after sharing videos and photos of the romantic evening on her YouTube page Hello Hunnay. “It’s been really hard to make sure to look for the positive everyday because everything is so unknown.”
Although Jeannie Mai has some of her wedding plans set in stone she is more worried about the present. Calling for anyone who can help those struggling during this time to text her directly to join her and her fiance’ in their Coronavirus relief efforts.
“If anybody out there is safe and healthy and able to shop, what we did was very simple… We stock shopped a week’s worth of groceries for elders that do not have families to support them. So we basically delivered at 310-388-8224 an assisted living home and had no contact and were just able to give it to them. If anybody’s interested in doing that, you can directly text me and we’ll get you the contact info for how you can directly do it in your area.”
